Website design & development

Overview

Krome Capital is a premier real estate company specializing in luxurious and exclusive properties. Founded on the belief that exceptional real estate opportunities should be accessible to all, they position themselves as a global hub for unique and rare listings. Think of them as your personal guide in a real estate treasure hunt, featuring properties you won’t find anywhere else. Their mission is to redefine the real estate experience by offering unparalleled service and access to exclusive properties that exceed clients’ expectations in luxury and uniqueness.

Challenges and Solutions

Creating a Luxurious, Chrome-Inspired Design: The client wanted a website that exuded luxury and specifically asked for the website to be “Chrome.” However, since chrome is a finish, not a colour, implementing this was challenging.

  • Solution: I incorporated a gold gradient into the design. Gold signifies luxury, and the gradient effect represents the reflective nature of chrome under sunlight. This approach satisfied the client’s desire for a chrome-inspired aesthetic while ensuring the design was visually appealing and practical for web use.

Dynamic Property Listings: The client wanted to post their own properties and those from partnered real estate websites. These listings had varying details; some properties had limited information, while others had extensive details.

  • Solution: I implemented custom fields in the backend that were conditional based on the property type. If certain fields were left blank due to incomplete information, they would not appear on the frontend. This ensured that property listings remained clean and free of empty placeholders, providing a better user experience.

Managing Sub-Listings: The client had properties with sub-listings and initially wanted to list them within the description, which could clutter the page and confuse users.

  • Solution: I created a sub-listings template in the backend. Sub-listings were displayed within the main listing but did not have individual templates. They were not accessible through search or property pages, which decluttered the website and kept the user experience organized.

Mailchimp Integration: The client wanted all form submissions to be integrated with Mailchimp, including a timestamp and the property name from which the form was submitted.

  • Solution: I custom-connected Mailchimp forms and visually customized them to fit the website’s theme. I added a reference field that included the property name and a link to the page, providing quick access for the client to follow up on inquiries efficiently.

Agent Backend Management: The client wanted a page that listed all the agents working or the company.

  • Solution: I added an agent management system in the backend as an extra treat. Admins could add agents who could manage their own listings, which required admin approval before going live. This allowed the client to expand their team while the website content remained secure and efficient.
